Old wedding traditions still alive in Iran

Iranians in Khorasan hold traditional wedding displaying old customs.

Iran is a country of diverse cultures representing a wide range of fascinating customs and traditions.

Once, every area of Iran had its own customs and traditions and there were various styles of holding a ceremony.

Although the old customs are fading away, some people are still interested in holding wedding ceremonies in the old-fashioned styles.

Iran is home to different ethnic groups such as Kurds, Lurs, Arabs, Baluchs, Turkmen, and Azeri and this diversity adds to the beauty of Iranian culture.

Following are photos of a wedding ceremony held in Khorasan.
